Tile Setter

A Tile Setter is responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring and marking walls and floors.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong bond between tiles.
- Set tiles in place, using hand tools and power equipment to cut and shape tiles as needed.
- Align and straighten tiles to ensure a level and even surface.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, using hand and power cutting tools.
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
- Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
- Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
- Install tile strips.
The Tile Setter will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential construction sites, and may be required to work at heights or in confined spaces.
Requirements:- 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Ability to distinguish between colors and work with a variety of tile materials.
