We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Gateway Meat Market. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and processing meats for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Cut and Trim Meats: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat for our customers.
- Wrap and Package Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats for sale, ensuring they are presented attractively.
- Remove Bones and Weigh Meats: Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Cut Poultry and Grind Meats: Cut poultry into parts and grind meats as needed, following our quality control procedures.
- Prepare Displays: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products, showcasing our products in an attractive and appealing way.
- Shape and Package Meats: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood, ensuring they are presented perfectly.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and adhering to our company's policies and procedures.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English language proficiency required.
- Work Hours: 35 to 45 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
