About the Role

Mackenzie Investments is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Advisor Compensation Specialist to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in compensation modeling and strategy to drive business growth and profitability.

  • Compensation Model Design and Analysis: Collaborate with the VP, Advisor Compensation to design and analyze IG's advisor compensation model, ensuring alignment with the firm's objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Compensation Model Refinement: Work with the VP, Advisor Compensation to refine the compensation model, incorporating industry trends and firm evolution.
  • Financial Analysis and Modeling: Develop, own, and maintain comprehensive financial models integrating advisor compensation, enabling the firm to track performance against key financial and operational metrics.
  • Compensation Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly review and analyze actual and projected compensation data, supporting ongoing monitoring and the annual planning process.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and analyzing IG's advisor compensation model.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate modeling.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive financial models.
  • Regularly reviewing and analyzing actual and projected compensation data.

Requirements include:

  • University degree in a quantitative field (e.g., business administration, economics, statistics, mathematics).
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in business strategy and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and independent thinking.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including cross-functional projects and stakeholder management.
  • The ability to produce high-quality work under time pressure and as part of a team.
  • Specific experience in creating, owning, and maintaining financial and operating models.
  • Experience preparing materials for and presenting to an executive-level audience.
