About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our Athabasca OSB Division in Slave Lake, Alberta. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing production processes, driving product development, and working across departments to bring added value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge in optimizing production processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and innovation.
  • Monitor and analyze process variability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement statistical process control methods to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to a small team.
  • Build relationships and embed product quality and innovation in the mindset of others.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Science, or Wood Sciences, or relevant technical experience.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes in OSB preferred.
  • Proven experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with process optimization, data analysis, and trial evaluation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a 'hands-on' focused approach to improvement.
  • Ability to cooperate with all levels of the organization.
  • Values-driven leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
