Job Summary

HOOPP's Private Investment and Infrastructure portfolios have grown to over $25 billion, with investments throughout North America, Asia, and Europe. As an Investment Operations Analyst, you'll play a critical role in supporting the investment operations process for our private investments and infrastructure portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of investment details and daily cash transactions in our sub-ledger system.
  • Assist in the set-up of investment details and recording of acquisitions and dispositions of investments.
  • Obtain supporting documentation from General Partners and liaise with them for any queries.
  • Prepare the daily hedge report and assist the team with ad-hoc requests from Investment Management and other divisions.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and preparation of working papers for the private investments and infrastructure portfolios.
  • Monitor financial statements received from General Partners and perform analytical work regarding movement in Net Asset Value.
  • Assist with compliance analysis and review investment activity on a monthly basis to ensure private investments and infrastructure portfolios are compliant with HOOPP's Investment Policies & Guidelines.
  • Support the external audit process and prepare supporting documents and files as requested by the auditors.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of similar operational experience in investment or fund accounting for private investments.
  • Accounting designation (CGA/CPA) or working towards an accounting designation is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to respond to queries on numerous topics effectively and promptly.
  • Prioritize and produce workload in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Investran, sub-ledger system, is an asset.
  • Strong MS Office skills and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
