We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Friends Painting & Decorating Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction and repair of buildings, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
Key Responsibilities- Construction and Repair: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Installation and Fitting: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a safe and secure building.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintenance and Renovation: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Will train.
- Work Environment: Confined spaces, noisy, dusty, and outdoors.
- Work Setting: Construction, various locations, renovation, industrial, and residential.
- Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, large workload, overtime required, physically demanding, and tight deadlines.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, punctuality, work term: permanent, work language: English, and hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
