Sunbelt Rentals is a leading equipment rental company that offers a comprehensive range of solutions for various industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team.

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. You will work with a variety of equipment, including aerial lift equipment, and diagnose complex problems while following all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service equipment as required to avoid unnecessary downtime and ensure proper working condition
  • Dismantle, reassemble, and rebuild equipment as needed
  • Deliver and install climate control related equipment
  • Diagnose and repair standard mechanical equipment problems
  • Fabricate parts as needed
  • Perform regular and service level safety inspections on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Meet all company, governmental, and equipment-specific safety requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum Gas Technician G2 certificate
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years' experience
  • Sound technical knowledge of propane/ng appliances, equipment, and plant operations
  • Oil burning equipment knowledge an asset, willing to train
  • Valid driver's license with three (3) years' experience and clean drivers abstract
  • DZ driver's license an asset, willing to train
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, specifically mobile computing devices
