As an Optical Instrument Specialist at BMV Optical Technologies Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain various ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments to ensure accurate results.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment according to manufacturer instructions and established protocols.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
  • Maintenance and repair minor issues with instruments to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Cut and edge lenses to precise specifications, and fit them into frames with attention to detail.
  • Grind or polish lenses as needed, adhering to strict quality control standards.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in an ophthalmic or optical laboratory setting.

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment where you will work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

The position requires:

  • Manual dexterity: You must be able to handle delicate equipment and perform intricate tasks.
