Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at PTAG Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, maintaining financial records, and establishing and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Maintain financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Post journal entries and prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns and trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Client focus and dependability
  • Flexibility and time management skills
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an urban area with public transportation available. The work environment is fast-paced with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
