Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Fitter to join our team at General Machinery & Cutter Inc. As a Machine Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fitting and assembling prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery
  • Moving and aligning subassemblies and components
  • Installing major components such as gears, pumps, motors or hydraulic assemblies
  • Inspecting furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • 32 to 40 hours per week
  • English as the primary language of work
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and reliability. As a team player, you will work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
