Job Title: Bookkeeper

Firoze Shaik Accountant & Tax Services is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in using accounting software, including Caseware, QuickBooks, and Sage Accounting Software.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with scanners and other office equipment.
  • Area of Specialization: Accounting.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, organized, reliable, and a team player.
  • Screening Questions: Available for the advertised start date, legally able to work in Canada, reside in proximity to the advertised location, previous experience in the field, required certifications, and current field of study.
