Meter Reader

At Olameter, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Meter Reader to join our team. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for reading gas meters and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing.

• Read gas meters and record volume used by residential and commercial consumers
• Perform visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter and note any visible defects or issues
• Ensure accurate consumption and billing

• Valid driver's license
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: background check and driving record
• Must have access to your own reliable vehicle
• Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day while reading meters accurately
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as a condition of employment

• Day shift hours, Monday-Friday
• Outdoor work environment
• Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day

• Successfully complete the company's training program and pass applicable written and field tests
• Learn and apply safety measures relating to motor vehicle operation and other field-related matters
