Landscape Labourer Job Description

JSS LANDSCAPING LTD. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, removing litter and garbage, and performing other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and remove litter and garbage to keep the work site clean and safe.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work under pressure. You will be working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, so it is essential to be comfortable in this type of environment.

Requirements:
  • Experience in landscaping or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
