Pediatric Nurse

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our 3C Pediatric Medicine and Intermediate Care Unit at McMaster Children's Hospital. As a member of our dynamic team, you will provide high-quality patient care to pediatric medical patients with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with complex medical issues, including congenital abnormalities, endocrine, gastrointestinal, cardiac, respiratory, musculoskeletal disorders, neurology, and pediatric trauma.
- Coordinate and evaluate patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric nursing.
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willingness to complete within six (6) months from hire.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric nursing care and disease processes, including growth and development, family-centered care, and pain management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams.
