Bergonia residence is seeking a reliable and caring nanny and household assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and household management, with a focus on providing a safe and healthy environment for children.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home.
  • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and development.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, helping them become confident and independent individuals.
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all necessary safety protocols.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their physical and mental development.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring the children receive a balanced diet.
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, establishing a consistent sleep routine.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
  • Help children with homework, promoting their academic development and success.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. Experience is an asset, and the ability to work 40 hours per week is required. Fluency in English or French is necessary, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
