We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Team Lead to join our culinary team at Sparkling Hill Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading a team of cooks and specialist chefs in preparing and cooking meals for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items, ensuring we stay within budget.
  • Lead a team of cooks and specialist chefs in preparing and cooking meals, including planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards.
  • Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, showcasing your culinary expertise.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; post-secondary education an asset.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end resort or restaurant setting.
  • Food Safety Certificate required.

Compensation
