About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Install underground wiring and cables to ensure safe and efficient electrical distribution.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to meet electrical code requirements.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and circuit integrity to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment to meet client requirements.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to meet electrical code requirements.
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures to meet client needs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
Work Environment

As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to work overtime and meet tight deadlines to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Judgement and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
