Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Transport Goods: Transport goods and materials across long distances, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safe transportation of goods and materials, and adhere to all relevant safety and security protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: On the road, with occasional overnight stays.
