Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Engineer to join our team at Rodan Energy Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide specialist expertise in a specific technical area, required to sustain performance of assets and resolve non-standard design and technical problems related to processes, equipment or systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex technical problems and provide advice on proposed solutions.
  • Develop and implement technical programs to maintain or improve the performance of major processes, equipment or systems.
  • Provide technical verification of work carried out in the Department and related to the specialty areas.
  • Assist station staff by contributing to the resolution of design and technical problems and implementation of approved solutions.
  • Develop and update technical specifications and standards for equipment, systems and processes.
  • Act as subject matter expert for assigned elements of programs.
  • Keep informed regarding station performance of specified equipment/systems/processes and identify potential performance issues.
  • Recommend Nuclear technical programs to maintain/improve the long-term performance of major processes, equipment or systems in the stations.
Requirements
  • More than 15 years' experience in nuclear safety analysis in OPG, Bruce Power or similar nuclear stations.
  • More than 10 years' experience in heat sink analysis, preferable with station experience in or familiar with Pickering Nuclear Power Station.
  • Proficiency in thermohydraulic analysis with more than ten years' experience.
  • University Degree or above.
  • P. E. O. license holder or eligible.
