Molding Supervisor

The Molding Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring a safe food product, and maintaining a high level of quality. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with production teams.
Key Responsibilities- Embed and maintain a Safety First mindset
- Provide a safe food product and adhere to GMP practices
- Communicate production schedules and requirements to production teams
- Establish obtainable expectations with team members and follow up on completion
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and encourage staff participation
- Direct and inspect the performance of the workforce and their work areas
- Oversee completion and improvement of sanitation schedules, PMs, and re-work of unfinished or damaged products
- Communicate with all departments and staff on production matters
- Council and discipline employees as needed
- Follow up with maintenance personnel on off-shift repairs and manage security, safety, shipments, and paperwork during off-shifts
- Perform manual work in production and minor maintenance repairs when needed
- Responsible for the completion of weekly and daily maintenance plans
- Create purchase requisitions for production as needed
- Manage staff requirements, including vacation and time off
- Participate in Health and Safety initiatives with the JHSC
- Evaluate training needs and initiate training when needed
- Develop training modules, policies, and procedures, and implement OJT plans
- Evaluate performance and behavior of individuals, including agency, probationary, and full-time employees
- Conduct accident investigations and assist with WSIB return to work programs
- Complete daily attendance and absence reports and timesheets as required
- SAP entries to assist with inventory accuracy
- Provide hands-on leadership and direction to production and maintenance employees
- College Diploma or Associates Degree in Food Science, Production Management, or Business Administration
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a food industrial and/or manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft computer programs
- Leadership, organizational skills, creativity, teamwork
- SAP experience an asset
- Must be available for 12-hour shifts
