We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at Diamond Fire Door Corp. as a Spot Welder. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of welding and metal fabrication to meet the demands of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Welding and Metal Fabrication: Interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
- Quality Control: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
- Metal Shaping and Bending: Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
- Brazing and Soldering: Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work with precision.
