At SunCan Communications Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist and Database Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics department, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing large datasets to identify areas for improvement within our IT infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with an estimated salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in this field.

In this role, you will work closely with our IT team to develop and maintain computer databases, document reporting needs, and ensure data security. You will also design and develop database systems, test data models, and analyze data using various tools and technologies.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent oral communication skills and accountability are essential for this role.

Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Collecting and analyzing large datasets to identify areas for improvement within our IT infrastructure
  • Developing and maintaining computer databases, including designing and developing database systems
  • Ensuring data security by enacting measures to prevent unauthorized access
  • Documenting reporting needs, queries, logic, results, and recommendations
  • Designing, developing, and implementing information systems business solutions

Some of the key qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in database administration and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of database management systems, including SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with data analysis software, including Python, Perl, and R
  • Excellent oral communication skills and accountability
