About the Role

Forest Protection Limited is seeking a highly skilled Seasonal Flight Operations Specialist to join our team for the 2025 wildfire season.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about aviation and committed to supporting forest health management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flight Operations: Operate a C208 or PA60 aircraft, carrying loading crews and equipment to reload bases around New Brunswick and assisting with various loading duties as needed.
  • Aircraft Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the aircraft, complete required preflight and postflight paperwork in a timely manner, and report all items requiring maintenance as soon as possible.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing, with at least 1000 hours of total time and 100hrs multi-engine PIC. A valid IFR rating is also mandatory.

Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is considered an asset. Turbine engine experience and low-altitude operations skills are also preferred.

Operational Requirements
  • Hold a Canadian Commercial Pilot – Fixed Wing license or the Transport Canada-recognized international equivalent.
  • Hold a Canadian Category 1 medical certificate.
  • Have flying experience within the last 12 months.
  • Successfully complete FPL ground and flight training program, including a pilot competency check.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Be capable of obtaining a clean Criminal Background Check.
  • Hold a valid Canadian driver license or a federally recognized international license.
  • Capable of obtaining a clean Driver Abstract.
  • Hold a passport valid for at least 30 days after the end of any employment.
  • Have a modern smartphone with an up-to-date operating system capable of running secure company communication apps, as well as a laptop or device capable of accessing email and suitable for reading small print, such as for exams.
  • Have CSA approved footwear.
