We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker I MSW to join our In-Patient Psychiatry team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive social work services to patients and their families, promoting optimal health outcomes and supporting their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive social work assessments and develop individualized care plans to address patients' emotional, social, and environmental needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide education, support, and consultation to patients and their families.
- Develop and coordinate in-services, presentations, and support groups to promote mental health awareness and education.
- Participate in research activities and program planning to improve patient care and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
- One year of recent experience in a mental health treatment setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
