Hair Stylist Job Description at HARRY'S SALON & SPA
  • Education Requirement

    To work as a hair stylist at HARRY'S SALON & SPA, you must have a College/CEGEP degree.

  • Work Setting

    You will be working in a fast-paced barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio environment.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Your key responsibilities as a hair stylist include:

    • Book appointments with clients
    • Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences
    • Shampoo customers' hair
    • Shave and trim beards and mustaches
    • Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, and tinting, as well as scalp conditioning massages
    • Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair
    • Apply hair extensions
    • Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
    • Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair
    • Suggest hair styles compatible with client's physical features and preferences
    • Maintain and order supplies
  • Supervision and Work Conditions

    You will be working under the supervision of 3-4 people and will be required to stand for extended periods. The work environment is fast-paced and repetitive, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.

  • Personal Suitability

    We are looking for a hair stylist who is client-focused, dependable, and has excellent oral communication skills. You must be a team player with flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
