Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Modeling Expert to join our team at Reinsurance Group of America Inc. as a Pricing Analytics Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and guiding our pricing actuarial team, ensuring that our reinsurance transactions are accurately priced and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing Support and Guidance
    • Develop and lead the pricing support team, demonstrating subject matter expertise in actuarial modeling.
    • Support all pricing units in their effort to acquire new or renewal business.
    • Develop and implement modeling standards and best practices.
    • Develop and/or review models to ensure pricing units have appropriate pricing tools.
  • AXIS Modeling Software
    • Be the business owner of the AXIS modeling software suite of tools.
    • Steward the pricing software strategy, including updates and execution.
    • Represent business requirements in contract negotiations.
    • Set priorities for new features in consultation with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Pricing Audit Process
    • Manage the pricing audit process with Global Audit Services.
    • Ensure that pricing risks are accurately reflected and appropriately quantified in the pricing process.
  • Process Development and Documentation
    • Develop and document new processes as requested by the GRS Management Team.
  • Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, or related field.
    • Fellowship, Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent designation/experience.
    • 10 years of experience in life and/or health and/or annuity insurance and/or reinsurance.
    • 5+ years of experience in life and/or health and/or annuity pricing.
    • 5+ years of experience with at least six modules of AXIS, EnterpriseLink, and GridLink.
    Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent knowledge of AXIS.
    • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of actuarial systems.
    • Expert understanding of design, risks, and critical assumptions relating to life, annuity, and other products.
    • Expert ability to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously.
    • Expert project management skills.
    • Expert technical skills with software and hardware applications.
    • Expert actuarial technical skills.
    • Expert ability to translate business needs and problems into viable modeling solutions.
    • Expert level of skills in customer relationship management and change management.
    • Ability to manage and influence associates who are difficult or resistant to leadership or change.
    • Expert ability to make timely and effective decisions.
    • Expert persuasion and negotiation skills to resolve issues/problems.
