About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at FM Floors & More Renovations Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles and other flooring materials in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces to be covered with tiles, ensuring they are clean, dry, and free of any debris.
  • Mortar Application: Mix and apply mortar, cement, or other adhesives to the surface, using a hand trowel to spread and smooth the material.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place, applying pressure to ensure they are securely affixed to the base.
  • Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a uniform and visually appealing installation.
  • Obstacle Navigation: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, using hand and power cutting tools as needed.
  • Grout Application: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to create a clean and finished appearance.
  • Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring the installation remains intact and secure.
  • Tile Strip Installation: Install tile strips to complete the installation and ensure a seamless finish.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
