Job Title: IP Operations Specialist

Xplore Inc. is seeking a highly skilled IP Operations Specialist to join our team in Calgary, AB.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced professional to support and maintain our IP network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IP networking, routing and switching, and have experience with network management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an operational project prime for IP related projects, including new technology rollouts, acquisition integration activities, and network readiness testing.
  • Provide expert level support to the Network Operations Team for problems pertaining to IP network services and infrastructure.
  • Respond appropriately to critical outage events, coordinating, communicating, and troubleshooting events in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all head ends and IP Operational processes are fully documented and updated regularly.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years related work experience or a two-year College diploma from a related discipline plus 5 years of progressive experience preferable in an ISP environment.
  • 3-5 years' experience in network Operations or Engineering.
  • Experience with Network management systems, including network monitoring tools (i.e. WireShark, Nagios, Cacti, Smokeping).
  • Experience with servers, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Radius, and VPN devices.
  • Professional Level Cisco Certification considered an asset.
