Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business analysis activities on small to large size projects, leveraging your advanced knowledge and ability to guide other professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute plans for requirements delivery, including planning, elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
  • Lead IT business analysis for assigned projects/programs, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and support of the requirements strategy.
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with business stakeholders to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review.
  • Prepare requirements for review, applying various communication techniques, and lead requirements walkthrough and sign-off sessions.
  • Identify, track, and resolve business systems issues during the project lifecycle.
  • Support QA in testing activities, design and development activities, and functional support activities.
Requirements
  • Relevant college/university degree and/or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in requirements management on large and complex projects within financial services.
  • 3+ years of Financial Industry experience, preferably with custody, corporate security services, investment counselor services, or trade management.
  • Experience with applications such as Gplus, Trust, Milvus, and BaNCS, View Finder, and Income Collection.
  • Proven experience working as a BA in various delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Iterative, and/or Agile.
  • Good understanding of SWIFT MT and MX messages.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in requirements planning, elicitation, and prioritization.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build healthy working relationships.
