Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality nursing care in the Halton Hills area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care, ensuring timely and safe resident transfers, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice principles to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  • Ensure a seamless transition for residents during admission, including comprehensive orientation and education.
  • Verify resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
  • Oversee the management and security of medications, adhering to protocols on all shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to meet their physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with others, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
  • Respect each resident's individuality, acknowledging their need for self-respect and privacy, and involving them in decisions about their care.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes.
  • Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Clear Criminal Record check.
