Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Communications and Community Engagement Specialist to lead community engagement, manage media strategy, and support brand awareness initiatives. As an integral part of our Marketing and Communications team, you will create compelling content across various channels to amplify our brand in Greater Victoria, build collaborative relationships with staff, parents, neighbours, and city stakeholders, and serve as the primary liaison with our community, ensuring positive relationships and transparent communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to engage our community and promote our brand.
- Manage media relations, including press releases, media kits, and interviews.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and stakeholders to build relationships and promote our school's mission and values.
- Design and implement social media campaigns to increase our online presence and engagement.
- Develop and maintain our website and other digital platforms to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about communications and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and communications, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
