About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at 1207940 B.C. LTD. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling earth, and laying down protective barriers.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Equipment Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, such as cranes, excavators, and forklifts.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and bending, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job, with a focus on developing skills and knowledge in construction trades.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular 30-40 hour per week schedule, with occasional overtime as required.
