Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Handling Specialist to join our team at LGC Group. As a member of our Finished Goods and Shipping teams, you will be responsible for safely retrieving, transporting, and relocating storage bins containing chemical compounds during facility moves.

You will work closely with our Environment, Health & Safety team to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies and guidelines. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a high level of safety, managing and relocating regular inventory, and performing other duties as assigned.

In this role, you will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while handling chemicals and work in a manner that does not jeopardize the safety of yourself or coworkers. You must be able to stand, walk, and/or push carts carrying heavy objects for short periods of time and lift and carry objects weighing up to 30kg for short distances.

As a Warehouse Operations Coordinator, you will work with other members of the Finished Goods and Shipping teams to collect, transport, and move inventory bins meeting daily targets. You will also work closely with the Environment, Health & Safety team to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a manner that does not jeopardize the safety of self or co-workers.
Qualifications:

No minimum education is required, however, a College diploma with a background in Chemistry is an asset.
