Job Summary:
The City of Edmonton is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Specialist to join our team. As an Emergency Response Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community by responding to emergency situations and providing critical support to first responders.

You will be responsible for operating complex computer and telephone systems, dispatching emergency services, and providing critical information to the public. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide critical support to first responders
- Operate complex computer and telephone systems to dispatch emergency services
- Provide critical information to the public during emergency situations
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Emergency Communications and Response Certificate and/or equivalent education from a recognized post-secondary institution, or
- A minimum of two (2) years of emergency communications experience in a public safety environment or equivalent experience
