We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Specialist to join our team at Ontario Power Generation Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the administration, coordination, and execution of assigned projects within multidiscipline project portfolios.

The successful candidate will possess strong project controls principles, including scheduling, cost management, risk management, and resource allocation. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and controlling defined stages of project management in accordance with project management governance.
  • Implement approved project management processes for phase gating, integration, scope, schedule, cost, change control, estimating, communications, and reporting.
  • Analyze project performance data and report on key metrics, including schedule, cost, risk, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on cost and schedule, and manage changes.
  • Resolve issues and problems as necessary to ensure that project deliverables are achieved as per plan.

Qualifications:

  • A 4-year university degree in engineering or equivalent/relevant discipline.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles.
  • Power BI, MS Office, and experience with building/analyzing dashboards.
  • Ability to analyze and report on project performance data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
