About the Role

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is a leading institution in post-secondary education and research. We seek an exceptional individual to fill the position of Chief Innovation Officer, Strategic Partnerships and Education.

Job Overview

This key leadership role plays a crucial part in two portfolios: Applied Research and Continuing Education. As the Associate Vice President, you will provide effective leadership and collaboration in the development, management, and representation of our applied research initiatives. This includes fostering, expanding, and establishing successful applied research that supports Saskatchewan Polytechnic's mission and promises to students, faculty, employees, industry, and the Province of Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for applied research and continuing education.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including industry partners, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams responsible for applied research and continuing education initiatives.
  • Ensure excellence in teaching and program quality, exploring new market opportunities for continuing education and corporate offerings.
  • Develop new and enhanced programming for part-time studies and corporate, not-for-profit, and governmental organizations to address changing industry needs and generate additional revenue for Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A research-based graduate degree or equivalent; a doctoral degree would be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of seven years' experience in research administration, applied or industrial research, and programming, ideally with experience as a leader in an academic or business-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire courage and innovation, cultivate strong relationships, drive operational excellence, and build leadership and culture.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you can expect:

Location
