Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Truck Trailer Maintenance Technician to join our team at Akal Truck & Trailer Centre Inc. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport truck systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service to prevent unexpected downtime.
Area of Specialization:
  • Engine Repair: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, automatic transmissions, and standard transmissions.
  • Electrical and Electronic Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic issues in our truck trailers.
  • Diagnostics: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex problems.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Standing for extended periods: Be able to stand for long periods while working on trucks and trailers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
