The Medical Laboratory Technologist operates sophisticated instruments that are often computer integrated and networked, utilizing computerized information systems to compare test results to established criteria and make decisions regarding reportability. This role demands tact, sensitivity, and effective communication skills to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to the Medical Laboratory Technologist Code of Conduct.
About YouWe seek a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist with the following qualifications:
- Graduate from an approved Medical Laboratory Technologist program
- Licensed with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (NSCMLT) or eligible
- Registered with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
- Ability to work shiftwork, including weekends and holidays as required
- Willingness to travel when necessary
- Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for:
- Performing complex analytical tests and procedures

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $37.54 hourly and be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
