Job Title: Rehab Assistant
Description
Bayshore Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehab Assistant to join our team at our transitional care unit. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement rehabilitation programs as directed by Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support patients in achieving maximum independence in daily activities, home, and community settings.
- Participate in exercise programs, group classes, and behavioral interventions as directed.
- Facilitate and supervise activities of daily living, social, educational, and vocational reintegration plans.
- Attend case conferences and team meetings as required.
- Drive patients as directed with valid insurance coverage.
- Implement infection prevention practices and participate in ongoing education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures and participate in quality activities.
Requirements
Education: Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Rehabilitation Assistant College Program. Will also consider a university degree in kinesiology or RRP/CCRC designation.
Skills and Abilities: Enjoy dealing with people, strong communication and presentation skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, self-directed, and ability to take direction.
