The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our team of high-performing professionals and make a significant impact. As a Senior Investment Analyst, Public Markets Specialist, you will be responsible for building strong relationships and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in support of our Absolute Return Strategy portfolio and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our investment team to develop and monitor our Absolute Return Strategy investment strategy, focusing on hedge fund equity and managed futures strategies.
  • Participate in manager review and due diligence meetings to ensure the highest standards of investment performance.
  • Contribute to the origination of new investment opportunities in the universe of strategies listed above.
  • Perform quantitative analysis on managers to inform investment decisions and portfolio construction.
  • Make recommendations to improve the portfolio management of our Absolute Return Strategy program.
  • Support our Public Markets team across an array of investment strategies on an ad hoc basis.
  • Participate in the development of our investment infrastructure and tools necessary for external manager analysis and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with our Responsible Investment group to integrate and implement our Responsible Investment strategy with external managers.
  • Contribute to our reputation as a respected employer, partner, and fiduciary.
  • Play a mentorship role with our investment team, when applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business, or other related quantitative discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience at an investment bank, asset manager, hedge fund, pension plan, or fund-of-funds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a keen ability to convey technical information visually.
  • CFA, CAIA or any other relevant professional designation would be an asset.
