Job Title: Journeymen Powerline Technician

Valard Construction LP is a leading powerline contractor, serving clients in both public and private sectors. We offer construction services in overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems, substations, fiber optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations.

We are seeking a qualified Red Seal Journeymen Powerline Technician to join our team in Southwestern Ontario. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and construction of distribution lines
  • Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment
  • Work at heights and climb wood and steel structures
  • Experience in craning and rigging
  • Follow instructions and procedures
  • Travel and work extended hours
  • Ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Red Seal Journeymen Powerline Technician certification
  • DZ license minimum, preference given to AZ license
  • 25kV Rubber Glove
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Working at Heights
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining heavy equipment
  • Experience in maintenance and construction of distribution lines
