Quality Control Specialist

This is a full-time on-site role in Quality Control of lighting products including manufacturing and assembly, located in Cornwall, ON. The position will be responsible for monitoring manufacturing, assembly and testing, troubleshooting, providing technical support, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering excellent customer service for fluorescent and LED luminaires in-house and field service settings.
Responsibilities- Assemble electrical and mechanical components & lighting fixtures using hand tools, glue, and other materials
- Use measuring devices to ensure proper size and fit of components
- Inspect work for quality control
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of lighting, equipment and systems in the field
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with lighting, equipment and systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Provide technical support to customers and address their concerns or questions
- Document all service activities, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
- Monitor and Perform QC activities for assembly of luminaires
- Field Service and Troubleshooting skills
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Skilled in the fabrication, installation, inspection, testing, adjustment and repair of electronic, electro-mechanical components & systems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Technical Support and Preventive Maintenance skills
- Excellent Customer Service and English language skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
- Experience with electrical or mechanical industry, or formal education in engineering or technical fields is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, climb and work from ladders, use hand tools including a drill, multimeter, screwdriver etc.
- Must be able to travel without restriction, within North America

Pay: $40,000 - $60,000 per year (based on 32-40 hours/week)
