Pipeline Construction Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Construction Supervisor to join our team at Robert B. Somerville Co. Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials for pipeline construction projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan pipeline routes
  • Prepare bids and proposals for pipeline construction projects
  • Prepare production and other reports to track project progress
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities with other project supervisors or managers
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on all pipeline construction projects
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand pipeline construction plans
  • Requisition materials and supplies for pipeline construction projects
  • Train or arrange for training for team members on pipeline construction procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in pipeline construction
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Leadership for safety excellence course
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • CADD Course
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
