The ideal candidate will have significant experience in application development, a strong technical background, and excellent communication skills. They will work closely with users and other technologists across the firm, interacting directly with clients and contributing to the development of elegant and performant React/Java Web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of React/Java Web applications from requirements to deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement web applications
  • Develop and maintain high-quality React code, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in React development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in Web UI Development
  • At least 5 years of experience in React
  • Strong knowledge of Web Development: React, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5
  • Experience in performance tuning, code profiling, code review, and hands-on experience with best practices
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux
  • Familiarity with revision control systems, Perforce/Git/CVS/SVN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Core Java
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (preferably SQL or DB2)
  • Agile Development Methodologies
