We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Operating Room, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and psycho-social needs, identifying problems and developing effective care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including scrubbing and circulating duties, in accordance with established standards and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to coordinate patient care, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, research, and education initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Act as an advocate for patients, promoting their autonomy, respect, privacy, dignity, and access to information.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- One year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, and completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
- Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area, with the ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
