About the Role:

Arcus Power Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Research Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our research and development department, you will be responsible for conducting feasibility, design operation, and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Conduct micro or nanodevices simulations, characterization, process modeling, and integration in the development of new electronic devices and products
  • Realize modeling and simulation exercises on computerized units
  • Document technical requirements to ensure that products, processes, and solutions meet business requirements
  • Design methods of collecting and processing data to answer specific research questions
  • Design and develop power equipment and systems
  • Conduct research regarding availability and suitability of data
  • Build predictive models

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Git, Machine Learning, and GitHub
  • Experience in the energy and utilities sector, with a focus on testing and evaluation, system integration, power generation, transmission, or distribution, and renewable resources
