Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver professional nursing care to patients and families, utilizing evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills.
- Establish, provide, and evaluate clinical nursing care to patients and family members.
- Practice to the full scope of practice of the Registered Nurse within own level of competence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital processes.
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- RN Diploma.
- Current BCLS.
- 1 year recent experience in an acute care setting.
- Emergency/Critical Care certification in progress.
- ACLS Certification.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and carry out verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Ability to work effectively within the nursing and inter-professional team.
- Demonstrated computer competency.
- Recent Emergency Nursing Experience.
- Emergency Nursing CNA certification.
- PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, CTAS, and NVCI.
- Experience with clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record.
- Membership in RNAO, certifications, and associations related to nursing specialty.
- Experience as preceptor/mentor.
