Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Country Produce (Orillia) Ltd. in Orillia, Ontario. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance with finding products in the store.
  • Produce Handling: Unpack and stock produce, maintain a clean and organized produce department, and ensure that all products are properly displayed and rotated.
  • Inventory Management: Count, weigh, and sort produce as needed, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Store Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, and maintain a clean and safe store environment.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other store employees to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Experience: Previous experience in a retail or produce environment is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
