About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at Lighthouse Hospitality Management Inc. as part of our hotel laundry operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure the efficient operation of dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines.
  • Laundry Processing: Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals as required.
  • Ironing and Folding: Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles, and hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments.
  • Quality Control: Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles.
  • Team Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Work Environment

The work site environment is hot and noisy. The work setting is in a hotel laundry.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
