Job Title: Cashier

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a permanent employee.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle customer payments, including cash, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions.
  • Scan items and tabulate total payments for goods or services.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Stock shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Participate in promotional activities and suggest products to customers.
  • Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Work Environment:

Our store is a fast-paced environment where you will work under pressure and handle heavy loads. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements:
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
